            Air Conditioning Tips:

You should set your Thermostat between 25 and 27C. Every 1C that you lower can add to running cost up to 15%. It can even tend to cost you extra for repairs because when you lower it often the unit tends to break. Another useful tip to keep in mind is that when you hear that the forecast for the next day will be hot, then pre cool your home the night before. This trick is very effective if your home has a high thermal mass, like brick for example. By doing so you will let your air conditioner work at its optimum during the cool night, and you will save power on the unit for the next da. It will help keep your ac on top of the heat load that the next day has prepared.

            Air Duct Cleaning Tips:

Here are some tips if you would like to clean your air duct on your own. First of all you will need the following tools: Screwdriver, heavy duty gloves, face mask, cleaning brush, some rags, a flashlight and a vacuum cleaning with a long extension. Now remove the air duct cover or the grille plates. Start by checking out the walls. If your walls have filters you can use your brush to clean them and a rag to wipe the dirt away. Its recommend not to use a vacuum on the walls because that sort of pressure can damage the walls. You can vacuum the inside of the ducts by using the extension hose. Try to get the hose in as far as you can reach in order to remove as much particles, dust, and other allergens as possible. Then rub the air duct covers with a moist rag and bolt them back on.
